BILLY OCEAN

Born in Trinidad before moving to London, Leslie Sebastian Charles MBE – better known by his stage name Billy Ocean – became the UK’s most popular R&B singer-songwriter in the 1980s, releasing huge hits that conquered both the domestic and US charts.

Taking his stage name from a local Trinidadian football team, Billy took up music at a young age, and began singing in London club’s in his teenage years. Fast forward a few decades, and he has a Grammy award and a MOBO Lifetime Achievement award to his name, plus several top 10 singles that have become timeless classics – including “Caribbean Queen”, “Love Really Hurts Without You”, “Red Light Spells Danger” and “When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going.”

We are so excited for Billy’s back catalogue of hits to ring out on the Main Stage. Get ready to sing along…
