GRACE JONES

Securing her first record deal in 1977, the now-renowned Grace Jones’s career launched with a string of dance hits – including ‘I Need A Man’ and her acclaimed reinvention of Edith Piaf’s classic ‘La Vie En Rose’. She has since evolved into an international icon.

The three disco albums she recorded – Portfolio (1977), Fame (1978) and Muse (1979) – plus all-time classic tracks such as ‘Pull Up To The Bumper’ and ‘Slave To The Rhythm’, established her as a major recording artist. During this period, Jones was a fixture on the worldwide club scene, often seen at New York City’s famed nightclub Studio 54. She also became a muse to pop art pioneer Andy Warhol, who created a series of iconic portraits of her.

We’re thrilled for such a cultural and musical icon to perform for us at CC Festival this year. Prepare for a special Friday night…
